This was our second visit to Castello Ceconi in the Italian Dolomites this year, to do some professional training with fellow industry colleagues and wow what a welcome we were met with! Violent storms, flooding and power cuts was our unexpected 'meet & greet' and we must pause momentarily to remember those who sadly lost their lives during the worst weather in Italy for over 50 years.
A couple of days without electricity certainly added to the theme of the training, 'light & composition' and pushed our creative & artistic flair to use limited available light to our advantage. However as the days progressed, the weather improved and we capitalised on the simply magnificent surroundings of the castle & area, including the unrivalled beauty of Venice (without wellies!). We even managed to 'take off' with our Aerial Drone, capturing some lovely shots from the air.
This was much needed time away to take a breath from another busy year and add some refreshing ideas to our repertoire for 2019 & beyond.
There was great camaraderie between the other delegates and some great new friendships made. Thank you to everyone involved!
